Overview
Harpactira pulchripes, known as the Golden Blue-Leg Baboon, is a visually stunning Old World species defined by its metallic cobalt limbs and rich golden carapace. Native to the dry Karoo region, this terrestrial tarantula thrives in semi-arid conditions and is prized for its stark contrast and cryptic coloration.
Though not aggressive, it is highly alert and should be respected for its speed and sensitivity. This is a species for confident intermediates or experienced keepers ready to explore the radiant side of African baboons.
