Endemic to South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province. Found in dry scrubland and semi-arid grassland regions, this species constructs silk-lined burrows in compact soil and often webs the entrance heavily. The native environment is warm, breezy, and moderately dry with sparse vegetation.
